Asparagus and Ham Pie
| 3 tbsp | margarine |
| 1 tbsp | cornstarch |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1/8 tsp | pepper |
| 1 cup | milk |
| 1/4 cup | mayonnaise |
| 2 cups | diced cooked ham |
| 1-1/2 lb | Ontario asparagus cooked |
| 1 tbsp | lemon juice |
| 1 | baked 9-inch pie shell |
| 1/4 cup | grated Parmesan cheese |
Melt margarine in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cornstarch, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk and stir until smooth and thick. Let boil one minute. Stir small amount of hot mixture into mayonnaise then stir mayonnaise back into hot mixture in saucepan. Add ham, asparagus and lemon juice. Heat through and pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil 2 or 3 minutes until lightly browned.
